@hallecorrine. Congrats on the deer. That is quite an accomplishment. Never sell yourself short; just keep progressing.

I have learned so much from all these posts. @coffeegirl. Just hang in there as we all have those days and weeks. It is all about not throwing in the towel. Those little things add up. Just keeping following the posts. I hope your DH feels better and hesls quickly.

A few months ago, I had never cooked on a wood stove. Today for lunch I made some wicked darn good grilled cheese sandwiches using a cast iron skillet (the key). For breakfast, I made a kitchen sink omlette (using leftovers).

I made a very simple glass cleaner with my essential oils. 1 1/2 cups white vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 8 drops lemon. Mix ingredients in 16 oz spray bottle. I used it and it did a good job.

Once again, this morning was wicked cold. It was -12 and I didn’t check the wind chill as I didn’t want to know. As usual, I used the wood ash for an ice melt. Normal salt has an effective temperature range, this bitter cold doesn’t seem to effect the wood ash.
