Am just catching up here. We are in the midst of cleaning up Christmas. My family’s crazy tradition is to leave Christmas decor up until the Feast of the Epiphany. Which according to my grandmother is the last day of Christmas in the old country (12 days of Christmas). The great grands, grands, and my mom did this and I’ve continued it. My DIL’s have learned to be patient with their DH’s as they are continuing it too. Next up is an overhaul of the storage area. DH and I have been gleaning out some of the Christmas and other holiday decorations we haven’t used over the last few years and will donate. Oh the joys of living in a smaller house. LOL. DH is planning a trip for us to see the aunt and uncle and the cousins that live down south.I pray that they stay well, My aunt(mom’s sister) is 84 and my uncle (dad’s BIL) is 91 now. He is just amazing, he still drives all over the place, just sledge hammered a section of his broken driveway out this summer and replaced it(with the help of his son). He’s the neighborhood go to guy. My cousin that lives with him(he’s a priest at the local church)says some days he’s hard pressed to keep up with his dad HA HA HA HA. I have been SLOWLY adding to the preps each time I go grocery shopping. Can’t wait to put out the grow boxes (since we learned from our mistakes last summer;)) and see what we can grow.
