@mamacando. I had a friend that her kids renamed the Christmas tree the Easter tree! I love Christmas and keep my decorations up through MLK day. The decorations just make me smile. The pine cones and such also go with my rustic house. My recent guests loved the decorations.
@littlesister. Congrats on the progress. Why canned water and not bottled water?
Today, I went to the post office for mail. They don’t deliver to me. I really am rural :). I had a box with a manual pasta maker. I immediately went home and started cooking. I made Mama’s meatballs with gravy (for non-Italians that red sauce with meat) from scratch, then I made some linguini using my new pasta maker. My almost Italian Grandmother would be so proud. The pasta with Mama’s Gravy was fabulous.
Did everyone read @daisy post today regarding what a financial collapse could look like in the US? While waiting for the sauce, I did and it really got me thinking and reviewing my life.
If government employees can’t make it through one missed paycheck, what will the US do during a bad recession? It could get real ugly. I am doubling down on my from scratch and self sufficiency efforts.
