Breakfast burritos…made from scrambled eggs, cheese of preference for each of us, and leftover rice.

DH made supper….oven-roasted kale, slices of potatoes roasted on tray in oven [unfortunately they were kinda charred-which doesn’t usually happen to him-oops]  and slices of beef with a garlic, butter sauce.  He cooks fancier than me.

I’m having ginger/honey/lemon tea cuz I suddenly got so cold…which is not helping the muscle spasms in shoulder.  Right arm is nearly in a sling today.  Muscle spasms from shoulder so bad I can’t do much…dominant arm.  Yowww.  What’s an herbal/whatever muscle relaxant?  Topically applied or whatever.

I went off researching ‘wall gardens’…..tons of ways to make plants grow vertically.  We did some planting in 5 soda bottles stacked inside each other and water drips down to all of them.  It actually does work…setting in a window  This article had soda bottles hanging horizontally, tied with 2 strings…against a wall.  The hole was in the middle of the horizontal bottle.  I actually used the chain link dog kennel for some of the vertical ones – fastened tightly.  I’d have to do same for these in the WIND we have here.  Dangling from strings, even against a wall, would be a disaster.  But secured, it might work.

Several ideas of putting lettuce, strawberries, etc in pockets in vertical pallets.  [all my pallets are used to store hay on….lol.]  Planting in recycled gutters was interesting to me…since I did save the old ones a few years ago.  They are currently being used in a water redirection of a different sort…keeping us from flooding the garage….{don’t ask…just another nightmare of these steep mountain sides}  But plants with short root systems might be protected from our rampaging voles and thieving bunnies.  The gutters can be fastened on a wall….a couple feet apart vertically.  I wonder tho, what metal and paint is used….toxic?  Could recycled gutters be painted with something non-toxic?  If it’s for edibles, that is.
