4 paws rating…. That’s good, LovingLife.  🙂

Muffy….spasms are common to my life.  But they are triggered by overuse sometimes.  Like 2 days of clearing snow from pathways.  Today, it’s still there but easing out without taking constant Nuprin like yesterday.  Nerve pain pushed me over the top yesterday.

Today I woke up pretty much flattened.  [ In my case, that means extremely low stamina and coordination is scrambled.]  DH cooked us eggs and stuff.  Stayed propped up in bed and on computer for several hours…getting up and down to see how things are doing.  By tonite, I’m functioning but with stamina draining out after a short time.  THIS I can work with.  I often do things in spurts…then go rest muscles and go again later.  Its how I remain able …but within severe limits on some days.  Most days are not like this.  Tomorrow will probably be much more normal.   Well, MY normal.  😉

I was able to stand on bed [hanging on to bookshelf] to remove the smoke detector that had chosen TODAY to start CHIRPING above my head.  GAAH!  Tossed it to DH and returned to bed.  He replaced battery and I’ll put it back up later tonite.  Even in this state, I balance better than he does.  LOL

GrannyJ….you’re a fix-it-yourself too, huh?  Got to!

This evening I was able to repair [for the second time] a good pair of reader glasses.  Let’s just say I have an XL hat size and readers are standard-made…but a tiny bit too narrow for me.  The springs on these are too tight, put pressure on the bow and it snapped.  Only bought them 3 mos ago.  I hate paying triple what I usually pay and get one fourth of usage!  I’ll return to the cheapo ones next time. They last longer.  If a corner of a plastic pair breaks, I superglue the whole juncture where the bow meets the front.  Can’t fold that bow afterwards but you can still use the readers.

For this pair, I hobbled around to collect a few tools.  Splinted the bow by using black stretchy electrical tape around a cut-to-size recycled popsicle stick.  I always save those sticks in the tool drawer and kitchen ware drawer for various disposable uses.  The bow is a very dark blue so it doesn’t look too weird with black tape on one bow.  Like I really care anyway?  Gonna get my money’s worth out of these!  This is the second time I’ve repaired it…but didn’t cut the support stick long enough the first time.

OldMtWoman  ….gradually feeling better tonite.
