It’s been a busy few days here. I’ve continued scratch cooking every meal at home. I’m definitely going to have to think about how much pet food we keep on hand. I think we’ll have enough to get to the end of this month but just barely. We have one dog and two kittens. The dog will eat just about anything so in a pinch we can feed him table scraps. The cats aren’t too picky either. Litter for the cat boxes is another thing I have to think about as well. We have enough but just barely. The kids have been enjoying the breakfast foods I’ve put in the freezer. Supper last night was home canned beef stew. Tonight it’s spaghetti. One thing I’ve learned is that winter gardening has got to be a priority. I miss fresh salads. I’ve put that on my list of stuff to learn about. I’m so inspired by all the tips and ideas being shared during this challenge! Spouse and I have decided to continue after this month. We will use the money we’re saving to fatten our rainy day fund.
