Up here in the frozen north we are prepared for storms most all the time. We check a few things though and always have very warm clothing. I like that I am retired and can stay off the roads when its really bad.
Most people keep a full pantry in winter as the grocery store isn’t that convenient to get to in a storm. We are just used to it. We don’t usually have ice storms here to make the power go out because its usually too cold. Even so the power can go out for a while.
