Boiled eggs with bacon and toast for supper last night, baked chicken and rice tonight.  Made a batch of laundry sauce.  I usually make the powder but since moving to a house with old plumbing using powders is against the terms of our lease.  I like the sauce since it takes up less room and I only need a tablespoon per wash load.  It works great! Trying out ashes on the sidewalk for ice melt.  It works and no problem for the dogs paws.  AND it’s free!  win -win!  Off work tomorrow for the holiday so I’m looking forward to some sewing time.  I’ve collected a ton of tiny slivers of fabric that’s too small for even quilting, These along with small pieces of saved batting will be used for stuffing pet beds.  I’ve got a couple of old quilted furniture covers that I’ll use for covers that can be taken off the pet pillows and washed as needed.
