“Day off” has been spent doing some deep cleaning on the lower level of the house. Kitchen, bathroom and dining room. Two of the grandsons are sick so I’m keeping an eye on them while their mama is at work. So much for sewing day. Got a large pork roast in the cast iron dutch oven. It’s smelling good and keeping the lower level warm. Between the oven and the fireplace the house is pretty warm.
I’m getting quite a workout going up and down to the basement to do laundry. OldMt Woman I think the problem with the pipes is the former tenants used powder and caused some clogged pipes. I can believe it since it doesn’t seem to take much for a clog to happen around here. Never seen anything like it. Either way since that’s the rule, I’m using the laundry sauce to save on expensive liquids. It uses the same ingredients as the powder but dissolved and whipped in the blender. I can put a link to instructions if anyone is interested. It takes up less water than making a liquid and stores easier since it is so concentrated.
