Someone on another site today pointed out that the feds had more people raiding the home of a nonviolent Roger Stone than used on the raid of Osama Bin Laden. While the FBI leadership may not care since they themselves may live in gated communities separated from the general public, “rank and file” agents (and law enforcement personnel in general) do not enjoy the same security, but live out among those they are ordered to victimize. If abuses of misusing the threat or application of deadly force like that of Manafort, Stone, and many others before them continues, respect for LE will vanish and replaced with fear and loathing by the public.
“I was just following orders” was not a valid defense for arrested Nazis during the Nuremberg Trials.
