We the people , have no authority or interest to back anybody into a corner . We simply wish to be left alone for the most part . Like any profession , there are a lot of people that don’t belong in it ……….thats one reason building codes exist . Major difference is that a tradesman doesn’t have the authority to ruin a persons life . If you intrust power to any person , you need to screen them very thoroughly . Its the failure of the system to make sure civil rights are enforced and respected , and the failure to properly deal with the growing number of bad apples . The fact that they have a symbol of the American flag greyed out , with a blue line , tells me that they have , on their own accord , made the separation between the people and their masters . Good ones ? yes , I have seen many . But like anything else , its the bad ones that overshadow the others . Unfortunately , there is just way too much of it . The old joke of what a democracy is ” Two wolves and a sheep , voting on whats for dinner ” holds true for internal investigations ” Two thugs , and an ex con , discussing what is proper conduct and policy ” . Are they held to the same standard of laws that we have to obey , and are subject to ? NO ! Now don’t get me wrong , we need them to a point , but again its the bad apples and agencies that are the issue . You know as well as we do , that there are people in say , the DEA , Boarder Patrol , DHS , ATF , BLM , etc . That think they are above the law , and have no use for the bill of rights . In fact , their actions project nothing but disdain for them . The plumber isn’t going to kick in the wrong door , and kill somebody as part of the job , with full knowledge that the only thing that will happen , is their department will have to cough up some money , IF it gets that far .
