Busy today. Lady who helps me came and we did some major heavy-duty stuff. She also helped me finish vacuum sealing the chicken breast. I think I wasn’t making the bags large enough. I had put cabbage and carrots in the dehydrator yesterday. They were dry so I thought to see how effectively rehydrating the cabbage would be and it worked perfectly, so I made fried cabbage, bacon and onion for lunch. The shredded carrots went into a vacuum sealed bag. I plan to rehydrate them perhaps tomorrow just to see how these will taste in some carrot cake muffins. I’m having fun! Totally new activity for me and appeals to the squirrel in me I guess. Oh, yes, I did find a web site that offered pen and paper templates for keeping the pantry inventory up to date, so printed out those forms to start working on them maybe tomorrow also. And, drum-roll, I ordered some heirloom seeds and they arrived today!!! Yeah. Gardening. Prepping. I can stay a busy lady doing something positive and not allowing myself to just mold over.
