Cinnamon Granny I do the same thing with recipes. Try it the way its written first then tweek it. Also have a ton of cookbooks- must have about 400. Gotta thin them out. I really like the old Farm Journal cookbooks. Buy them when I see them. I bought one new about 40-50 years ago and its literally falling apart. I highly recommend them if you find them.
