Hi guys! I have been out of touch for a while. I spilled coffee on my laptop, which is a mini-catastrophe for me since I use it to run my life (banking, grad school, etc.). I had recently backed up the data, but i still need a personal computer loaded with anti-viris and anti-malware and anti-keylogger. I’m not logging into my bank on a public library computer. I logged into my school intranet with trepidation because i am getting so behind on homework and reading. A computer repair place said they could fix it for $250 in 2 weeks, so i am doing that instead of buying a new laptop. That’s coming out of the emergency fund.
The closet is coming along. It’s just slow and boring. I filled in all the cracks in the door frame with wood filler, and have twice filled holes in the walls with joint compound. Some holes are so deep it will take a 3rd application of joint compound (tomorrow night). Joint compound is unforgiving, dries hard like cement. I apply it as smoothly as I can. When i am all done with joint compound, i will put up sheeting around the closet and sand the wood filler smooth.
Been losing a lot of time at (painful) physical therapy and acupuncture for the arthritis in my knees.
I second Muffy on a decluttering challenge. I need to make sure my closet doesn’t become a repository for clutter. My goal is to end the lease on a storage unit; move necessary items into my closets and attempt to be ruthless about discarding things.
