Well, the make it from scratch month is over.  In once sense, I passed  because we always cook from scratch.  You will find NO prepackaged foods in our house except for one cereal that Hubby eats at night.  Vegan black burgers, Vegan sloppy Joes, and Flemish Pork Stew will be added to our cook book. I knitted and crocheted from new patterns and used my noggin to alter them, and made it through 5 of 11 online classes of Morse Code. I use homemade laundry detergent.

I have a list of items to purchase from a “Whole Foods” type store, since non are available near me,  to continue the journey to prepare non-meat dishes.  We are not going meatless, just greatly reducing the meat in our diet.  Interestingly, after shopping on Wed., and seeing the beautiful butternut squash, I purchased hamburger to make meatloaf, and used our sprouting potatoes.  Hubby looked at the meatloaf when it came out of the oven and actually asked what it was made of. What kind of beans?  lol He could not identify that it was beef nor did he  care.  Success.

On the other hand, I would not say I passed this challenge because I did not really try anything new.  Oh, yes, I did cook some new recipes, but, I do that every  month.  What I really needed to do it try something really off my daily routine and comfort level.

I did save the creative things you all came up with in a word document so I can refer to them.  I always save things to my computer.  Never to the cloud.  I do not want to be unable to retrieve “cloud items” in case we lose power, or satellite connection, for whatever reason.

So, on to the next challenge.  Two more months before we go outside to prepare the garden for 2019, so I am ready to expand my brain.

Best wishes to all of you.
