Xant….have missed your posting.  Sorry to hear of your medical issue and pray you’ll be doing better and better.  Sounds like you’ve been busy tho!

Corsaire….that sounds like an interesting book…can’t beat the price.

Well FINALLY today we got a commitment to deliver hay for our critters.  We had someone back out on us in early January.  We’ve been hauling 3 at a time on the roof rack.  During our time of DH being gone, blizzard conditions and all sorts of stuff, THIS issue was very pressing since 3 bales does not go far.  Tomorrow, we’ll meet truck in barnyard and have to sled each of those many bales over to the hay shed….and THEN….all the pressing emergency stuff is done.  Usual stuff to maintain will always be there but no one dies….  {roll eyes}  ….if we get a siege of weather.

OTOH….we haven’t been to a store since before DH left ….  Still have a bit in that half-gallon of milk.  Used up the last of the roast tonite.  Have cleared stuff out of freezers.  Not all….and may have to use up more there.  I’ll go on a hunting expedition to the basement freezers tomorrow.  Get something thawed.  This is actually overdue so being forced to use it up has helped.  Maybe if DH is feeling better by mid-week, he might make some bread.  He’s our baker.  But we eat his bread so fast….  LOL
