Late checking in.  I will need to make up the lost days with double prep activity.

Feb 2.  Ham radio club meeting.  Several friends were talking about how they learned Morse and how they practiced.  So, when I got home I looked up the most common letter combinations, and the 100 most common words, and saved them to my computer.  Also, found a site that will give you each of those words at different speeds.  The slowest speed is 12 wpm.  Too fast for me.  Perhaps I can reach 12 wpm by the end of the month!?!

Feb 3.  Working on Morse Code each day.  I am using Ham Whisperer.com to learn the letters.  I am on lesson 6 of 11; three letters and a number each lesson.  I also found morsecode.scphillips  which allows you to put in the text, and it will convert it to code and you can hear it.  Too fast, yet.

Feb 4.  One of my goals for this month is to cook from my freezers – both of them, to get rid of the dibs and dabs, plus the Fridge’s freezer.  They are stuffed!  Today, I made dinner from the freezer, Turkey ala King.  I had, in small packages: red peppers, sugar pea pods, reg. peas, mushrooms, turkey, chicken broth and rice: to which I added fresh onion and garlic, plus chicken boullion.  Cleaned out 4 plastic containers!  Now, what will inspire me for tomorrow?
