Feb 4 Prep activity report. Spent some time working on pantry inventory which I hope to have finished by the end of this week. Worked hard to remove gamma seal ring from busted bucket and felt proud of myself when it finally came off. Unfortunately, ring doesn’t seem to want to fit on Lowes bucket I purchased yesterday. I watched a youtube demo on how to do this so obviously it can be done. My helper came today and she gave it a try but she couldn’t get the ring to seal properly. We’re wondering if perhaps the new bucket is the problem. She raises animals and has a lot 5 gallon buckets so she’ll bring several the next time she’s here and we’ll hopefully figure out what the problem is. Bucket or ring?
She also was able to make the food saver jar vacuum thingy work properly so that’s a relief. I had made some dried Italian bread crumbs from a loaf I made several days ago that I thought would be nice to have in a jar. I’m definitely like a kid playing with a new toy.
Good to see Cinnamon Grammy on the forum. I’ve always thought ham radio would be the coolest thing to get involved with. Maybe down the road that’s something I can put on my bucket list. 🙂 And, Little Sister, I’m remembering you in my prayers. Sure hope you can try to keep your spirits up during this rough patch. Remembering, this too shall pass. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. Right? 🙂
