I’m not actually participating in the challenge this month – just chiming in . . ..

Littlesister – I’m sorry to hear you’ve been feeling so tired.  I hope you’ll feel better soon!

Coffee girl – Thanks for mentioning the book by Tammy Gangloff.  I have her first book but didn’t realize she had written another one.  Have to put it on my wish list!

OldMansd – Good to see you posting again 🙂

Corsaire – Great idea about the medical ‘crash cart’ for home medical supplies.  Now I just have to find a closet to store it in, lol.

Columbia River – I take Vitamin D3 also but year-round, not just in winter.  Since I had a squamous cell skin cancer tumor cluster removed three years ago, I basically stay out of the sun as much as possible and have to get my Vitamin D in other ways.

Loving Life – I’m very glad you weren’t injured in the SUV accident!  Lucky you though, getting a Range Rover – it sounds great 🙂

Molly Malone & Nana Mike – I’ve watched the Sun Oven online presentation several times and enjoyed it each time.  There are so many things you can do with the Sun Oven, and I figure if I watch the presentation often enough all that information will finally “stick” in my brain, lol.  I have a Sun Oven I got a few years ago when the company had a few available on their “demos & dents” sale.  The discounted cost was a good deal, and I really couldn’t find any visible damage to the unit they sent me.  It works perfectly.  If you get on the company’s email list they’ll notify you when they have another one of those special sales – seems to be about once or twice a year.  So far, I’ve only used my Sun Oven to cook casseroles.  I hope to bake bread in it later this year.  On a different topic, Nana Mike, you probably already know this but from what I’ve heard one pint canning jar holds about 1 pound of meat.

Woodsrunner – Very sorry to hear about your sternum injury!  I hope you’ll feel much better very soon.  I’ve read Lucifer’s Hammer 3 or 4 times over the years.  As you can tell, I like it very much, lol.  I think you’ll find that if you can stick with it a bit longer, the pace of the plot picks up a lot.

Cinnamon grammy & Woodsrunner – Congratulations on working so diligently on learning Morse Code!  You’re inspiring me to get off my duff and finally get my basic HAM license and begin studying Morse Code myself. I just have a Baofeng UV-82HP unit though, nothing fancy.
