I’ll keep sticking with “Lucifer’s Hamnmer”. When I mentioned the small print I was thinking how long it is. Haven’t got to the interesting part yet. We bought another house nearby and the battery in the thermostat failed so the furnace went off in 20 below weather. I had it plowed out and checked it- furnace off, pipes froze. It was warmer today so 40 above in the house and pipe sounded like a torrential rain- so… I was mopping it up, turned off the water, called a plumber (after hours) and he got the furnace going again,
Tomorrow, gotta go over and see if the toilets are busted when the water thaws in the tanks and bowls. Sometimes I just hate winter. Anyway no more damage can be done since the water is off and furnace is on again. They didn’t look broken but if they leak I’ll just mop up.
We did not know that the thermostat even had a battery. Very dumb design. In the house we are in now the thermostat is an old one without that problem. How the heck do you know if the battery fails if you go away on vacation in the winter? Grrrr.
Today baked bread and will do some more morse code. You don’t have to learn it to get your ham license so I encourage everyone to get your license and you can learn it later. There is even a website that has the questions and answers and you can test yourself to see how much you know. Not too hard to get a technician license. I was able to have time to study and got my extra. IT gets more complicated as you go along DH knows way way more than I do.
I have a dehydrator but haven’t used it much yet. A nice one for five bucks at a rummage sale. I’m impressed with you who are doing a lot with it. Another thing to get with the program with- mainly in the summer here.
I use the vacuum sealed to seal jars with and sometimes it seals them so well I find them hard to open again, but I’m glad it works that well.
