Doggone- I got quite a bit of typing done and it just disappeared, so here goes again, well maybe not all of it.

I went to church for Bible study this morning- spiritual prep is necessary too.  Make a breakfast casserole for the breakfast for the Bible study and ordered heirloom seeds and made a big kettle of dogfood for the dogs.

Worked on Morse code- a daily thing now.

Copied what you guys said about sealing jars with food saver.  You have been doing more with it than I have.  I had done it in glass jars- the kind that came with jam or pickles in them and whatever they put in the inside of the lid really has sealed them well- so well they were hard to open later.  I had not even thought of using coffee filters with some foods but that sounds like a great tip and I will try it.

OldMtWoman- IS the “thumper” you are talking about like the one that the doc hits you knee with to test reflexes?

Columbia River- I never thought of using corn syrup in an ice pack- not so sure I would trust the zip freezer bag though, I’d be afraid of a big mess if the zip failed.  Maybe a sealer would be better?

By the time its evening I can hardly remember what all I did during the day.

Grannyj Smith- hope you recover from the flu very soon.
