Greetings, All.
This is the fourth time to check in. Each time before Safari got goofed up by an advert on the bottom of the page. So far, so good.
Red Carnation: Best wishes. It sounds as if you and your loved ones are in for a difficult time ahead.
Morse Code: I am finding that I must practice listening every day. Fortunately, I found a site that will allow me to put in letters, or words, and play them back to me. I can practice whatever I need to. https://morsecode.scphillips.com/translator.html#
Shirt: I started to finish the corduroy shirt I stopped making last spring. Two things: 1) i must look at it carefully to see where I was and what I had decided to do. I have not done collars or button plackets often and it is a challenge. 2) I have grown. Around the middle. Too much sitting. Can I, should I add a gusset to make it fit? I know, just more walking and less cooking.
Canning: I canned a double recipe of Flemish Pork Stew; we got pork roast 2 for 1. It is mainly pork and fried onions; it is the spices and the dark beer that make it special and tasty. I put it in pint jars which is a better size for just the two of us. For some reason, the jars were very greasy; that is after Hubby trimmed the fat, and I did not use much oil to fry the onions. I’ll just make a note that the jars were greasy so we eat it sooner than other items.
It is snowing, again, here in MN. At this point we have 30 inches in this month alone. More expected this weekend. As of today, we are at the record of eighth most snow in one month. In 1991, November had 46 inches. It is ok is we don’t break that record.
Stay warm and safe everyone.
