It required about three hours of chainsaw work to open up my road enough to use. Unfortunately my back is loudly complaining this morning. I have a lot of pines down around the fields that will also require cutting up. Some of the smaller pines were just bent due to ice, but the larger one’s roots came out of the ground since everything here is so saturated and wet.
Its been a tough two weeks. My wife and I both had the flu. At the same time my elderly father was admitted to the hospital with a heart problem. I couldn’t even visit, having the flu. Then the ice storm and losing power. Exhausting! Ive begun thinking of selling this place and moving to someplace more manageable.
