GrammyEm….love all those uses for lemons!  Smell is wonderful!

So yesterday’s project of ashes on the ‘driveway glacier’ worked great.  Already I’m seeing dirt/grit holes where the ashes were laid.  Wonderfully warm the past two days….hoping for a bit longer so that glacier will disappear.  Then we’ll get more snow but without that underneath.

Today I was dealing with a puddle that kept forming in the back….right at the yard gate.  A fire exit, if we had to….  But meltwater was coming down from the huge hillside that’s still full of deep snow.  Well twice I just shoveled loose snow onto the puddle.  Snow soaked up the water and then I scraped the snow away from that area.  The only absorbent material I had to hand…. {shrug}  Seems to work and I do NOT want that gate iced shut.

Did a lot of snow dealings again today.  Removal from shed roof….uff tah!  That was a lot we got!  But with the warming trend, things are getting finally back under control.  …til more snow comes…and it will.

DH and I had discussions on future….there is a lot to discuss and a lot of variables.  We see things pretty much the same.  We’re trying to prep for the same things…..then aging gets in the way.  If we have the Stuff Hit Fan….we’ll both be wishing we were still younger.  A friend my age just had a surgery that will position her with better health in case of major troubles.  She preps too and that was a good one.  DH is leaning towards a choice that will make his health better.  Hope he does it.
