I watered my tomatoes, herbs and lettuce. Read a few more pages of my survival handbook. Did some homework. Our weather has been extremely hot and humid for the week before thanksgiving, even for Florida standards. It has been incredibly gray and dry. My grass is crunchy and even some of the weeds are dying. The weather man never seems to make any mention of how unusually dry it has been. I hate the heat but my immediate family hates the cold so I try not to complain. On the plus side I can grow a garden all year long. I just wish nursing school didn’t zap all my energy. I really wanted a nice garden this year. But so far I think I may need to be satisfied with some herbs, tomatoes, and lettuce. One other success I have made is I think I have finally got my mom and step dad on board with prepping. They are growing a little garden and discussing safety strategies. Believe me when I say this is growth. I think its finally clicking for them.
