I think the Oxy Clean container has a little over 2 cups in volume, but I have never measured it. It was from Family Dollar and weighed 1.3lb.
Use gloves and a mask if you need to. My utility room is outside so I only make this outside, it can be dusty.
Cut up soap bar. If you let it dry out it cuts much easier. Mix the bar in a large container (I use an old wash basin) with all other powders.
I blend mine with a blender used only for soap and store in a large Coffee Mate 2.2lb creamer container. One batch will fill up one container.
I add about 2-3 TBS per load depending on how dirty/smelly the clothes are.
