I have only a few chokes, but they are more for hunting than the article address.

Only chokes that work are thread in for bird shot high altitude and even a longer barrel works better. The one at end of barrel that works is called a duck bill it changes shot pattern to more lineal instead of round. You can’t use steel shot so useless in some places for water fowl because of laws.
