My daughter is helping me clean house. First real through house cleaning this place has had since my parents (now deceased) moved in 45 years ago. Pitching a lot of stuff. We have room and my grandson and family (my first great grandchild!) will be moving in as soon as the baby is born and I so excited as I love children.

As my daughter was leaving yesterday (she has a disabled husband and two roommates) how many of them would be coming here if/when we decide to go into self-quarantine. She said just herself and husband. That makes 7 counting the baby. I have bought a good bit of food in the last couple of weeks and I asked her about a package deal of storage food I was thinking about buying. She said I had enough because a self-quarantine would only be for 14 days. Then I corrected that to 24 days and she was gone. She will be back tomorrow night for more work.

After she left it hit me that she doesn’t understand that a self-quarantine is to keep the virus OUT and that could conceivably go on for MONTHS or maybe much more, until this thing burns itself out. Who knows what cascading effects this will have on jobs, the economy, utilities, etc. Worst case this could possibly turn into a grid down situation!

So I will discuss this with her tomorrow night. I mention this here as some of you may be under the same misconception as my daughter.
