    Yeah, hey, we are lackeys of Maduro, and in order to survive here in our socialist paradise, we are raising our own cattle.  And, oh, by the way, we are selling any extra on the black market for a handsome profit!

    Wow.

    Just slap “socialist” or “commune” on the name of any group that is behaving like the prepper group of our dreams post SHTF and suddenly it’s a bad thing.

    @Mouse Wizard,

    I for one would not want to be in some kind of commune, even a prepper one.  Being stuck nearly 24/7 with people you work with and then have to live with too?  It can build sense of community, but it can also drive you fraking crazy if you dont like some of your teammates.

    I like the local Amish model.  They all own their own homes, land.  But they all work together when necessary.
