Once read that to keep control of the populace i.e. to stay in power, do two things:
    1) Dumb down the next generations.
    2) Keep the people working hard at low-end jobs, keeps them busy scraping for food and out of politics.

Find it interesting that we as foreigners can get jobs in the USA like seasonal work on farms, driving trucks earning quite a bit of money, when converted back to our local currencies from USD.

Example: I can visit the USA on a work Visa and drive trucks for between $1000 – $1500 per week depending on trips driven and employer. When converting that to SA Rands, I would be looking at between R 15 005.30 – R 22 507.95 per week … tax-free… damn, that is a lot of money per month with meals, flights, and accommodations paid for by the USA employer.

The only problem with 2) is in this day and age of the interenet, everyone is in politics.
Now, how much do they believe in the spin in the media is a different conversation.

Very true Crow Bar, everyone today is a “powerful armchair keyboard warrior having-no-clue-what-is-really-going-on” policitican thanks to all the social media platforms.

Someone once said to me: If you want to know why democracy cannot work, have an in-depth conversation with voters on election day to understand why they vote for XYZ. 🙂

You need cold hard facts, not emotion, when you vote.

Question is, where do you get the facts IF you have the time?

    Well said.
I try to check out various candidates sites, but even then, looking for information to confirm their stand on whatever is even viable is a needle in a hay stack.
They make a lot of assumptions that are not mentioned, or leave out key “how are you going to pay for that?” info.

Someone said, despite all their posturing, many voters once in the ballot box, vote with their wallet in mind.

Case 1: There was, I forgot exactly where, this President somewhere I think in S/America who fought the original regime, was sent to jail for those efforts, eventually, he became President. He stayed and worked his farm, giving (I think) 2/3 of his very low salary – his choice – to the poor whilst driving himself around, even giving people lifts, in his beaten up old Volkswagen Beetle – no security or cavalry – on his own. He served his country.

Politicians like Nurses and Doctors and Church leaders and people taking care of the poor are doing it to help others, help humanity, help their country … somewhere it all went south. Only Nurses and people taking care of the poor are still doing it for the love of others.

Politics is about power/control and money.

Case 2: When my wife had our first, there was a newly minted Dr next to her in the room who also gave birth to her first. So I asked her: Tell me Dr, what is your feeling, are most Dr’s doing it to help others or is it about money?
She answered saying she felt that most female Dr’s are there wanting to help people and that most of her male classmates wanted to know which medical discipline can make them the most money.

Case 3: Recently read in an article of a businessman who, at 50+, decided he wants to become a Dr. So he did.
      He wanted to help people.
Here is the “drop mike” moment: Know what he charges his patients?
What they can afford/have in their wallet/purse and free if they have no money.

      We need politicians like cases.

Why do you think they (j3w) are pushing for migration and ending white European race by mixing? Look at iq and national success and you will see why.

Seattle Public Schools Will Start Teaching That Math Is Oppressive

this crazy idea is surely an excellent way to “dumb down”

    • #24050

      O. MY. WORD!!! Oppressive … what on earth is going on there? The Minority ruling the Majority?

But, we have to try and be fair … by us they have Maths and Maths lower grade … it is not working so well as most kids go for the lower standard and teachers strongly advise most kids to move down to Maths Lower grade. Better for the school’s pass rate see … let me not go there.

BUT, and this is the general problem I have gathered over 14 years of getting our 2 kids through school. Real Math teachers who not only are passionate about maths, who understand it AND who can also teach maths, they are really REALLY scarce … that was/is THE biggest problem.
