Hi all!
Lately there has been a ton of crime in my area and I’d like to be able to keep a better eye on my property. So I thought I’d ask here since there are some pretty knowledgeable people. I am looking for types of cameras I can buy, new or used, that meet the following criteria:
Needs
I basically would like to install one peep hole cam for the front door and carport, and 1-2 cameras to watch my back gate area.
Wired only – no bluetooth or wi-fi, I want to use a cable to hook it up to a monitor/computer.
Must not require Windows 8l/10 for the camera software
Wants
Night vision would be nice, like with a trail cam
Motion activated would be nice
Battery backup would be nice too
Low cost would be nice, I don’t need the latest or greatest thing
Anyway, I was curious if anyone knew where I could buy something like that, or had model numbers from a system they use so I can find them used or refurbished.
Suggestions? Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Go to salvage place and find the cameras or on government auction site.
Always have overlap so no one down camera will give you a blind spot.
If you can afford a thermal hand held.
Reinforce places where you might need to take cover wood and drywall dont work well as ballistic protection.
Add a door stopper with a 2×4 on floor and another that fits under the handle
Outward pointing lights to light up the yard
