Glad to be a part of the forum.
My wife and I have been homesteading/prepping for over 24 years. The prepping became more serious before Y2K but 9/11 got me *very* focused. The 2008/2009 financial crisis cemented our mindset even further. We survived something of a financial disaster, having lost 70% of our income and I was forced to lay-off 7 employees. We did survive, largely due to our debt free lifestyle and prepparedness. It made us stronger and more self sufficient.
