ParticipantLol it was -20c today with wind blow…. still have to bucket 1600lb of feed and water on morning feeding
Motivation is the loud squealing and fighting that starts if food is 5 min late…. on especially cold days the thought of bacon and eggs and hot coffee
Today is exchanging idler sprocket in excavator…. 400 lb bench press /squat. To get into place. Atleast when done you see value to effort……want to flip a tire wheel I have 4 big tires that need remounting. The ones there in matts picture are the smaller front wheels.

Yup that’s the hammer tire. On the ground for hits, pulls and jumps and sideways secured to a tree to hit for door breeching workouts.

I do agree that with work you see immediate results as compared to working out.
The workout is to make sure I can do the work. I’ll often stress targeted workouts like my post on shooting. We’ve got a wide range on here and I’m not looking to get everyone into the gym “to crush it bruh”. Several have mentioned struggles with injuries and age. That’s inevitable and I’m big on not giving up. Just modify what you can do and continue with that. Be the best you that you can be.
My days are coming to an end on heavy gym lifting due to age and body breaking down

Crow Bar
KeymasterThe wife turned the tractor ties into raised beds (one of Daisy’s guest posts).
That is okay. I got plenty of stuff around here if I wanted to drag something large and heavy around. -

ParticipantAt my age, next year I will be doing the garden myself. DH is in no condition nor will he be in any condition next spring to help me. Cong. heart failure has really bought him down. He can’t do anything now. So it is going to all be up to me. I have learned a few new things that he normally does. Had to put oil in whole house generator which really to me was a no brainer as well as put air in tires. Easy stuff. I knew I would not be able to use the big tiller as it is way to heavy for me to handle at my age. So we bought an electric smaller one that will work just fine. That one I can handle. I am going to get the raised beds going also sometime early next year. Want to get them set up and ready. I should have already done that but just didn’t get to do it with DH’s surgeries. Last one and still on going was the skin cancer removal. He sees the doc on Thursday but I don’t think the skin graft took. It looks bad. And is still leaking. So will see what doc says. I cleaned it up again this morning with Betadine antiseptic. Hoping that will help it to heal better.
With DD and SIL moving away, I will not really have anyone that can help me like I did. So I will be pretty much on my own, learning new things as I go. I am sure I could hire a handyman but with the way our taxes are going to go up with a Biden administration and how they talk of taking have our retirement, might not be able to afford to hire anyone for things I can’t do. But we will see.. Though Biden will never be president in my book. He didn’t win fair and square, So he had to steal it. To bad we can’t stop that money flow.
