Various parts of CA wants to form their own state.
Upstate NY vs Downstate NY. -
When lower population areas of the states or whole country can no longer be represented at all because urban areas simply outnumber them….. how then should we be represented? A big part of what the oddly-named “electoral college” is all about. Making sure sheer population is not the only way to be represented. Out number all the farmers and declare their interests of no value to urban folks…..who then will feed ya?
Chicago is not the face of all of Illinois. ….thankfully.

It reminds me of the old joke body parts arguing who is most important… all argument stops once sphincter decides not to function…… while given the same thought and care as that to rural persons, we create actual wealth the money in cities for most part either use our provided material and consume our products to “make” their stuff. But alot of the time it is only recycled money a baraista a cop a banker a manager is a zero producer they only have jobs by siphoning away from real producers.
