Far Left pretending to be a far Right to make the public perception the Right is wacky?

Some just plain wacky nut job who hates everyone equally?

    You be the judge!

CB – exactly…the first thing that popped up in my mind. That would be a stupid risky move on such high profiles.

    I’m leaning toward:

    a) Some kind of false flag

    or

    b) Someone with nothing to lose who is sick of the whole “purple revolution” mess

Yes, I vote for “a”. Same guys/thought process that thought up the Las Vegas fiasco. Way over the top and meant for the mouth breathers.

I will choose door number one for false flag!

We could make a game show: IS IT REAL OR IS IT A FALSE FLAG?

And the winner gets to keep his or her property without paying the extortion fee property tax

    Update:

. . . the return address on the suspicious packages containing explosive devices was listed as Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Ok, you have to admit, the wacky nut job has a sense of humor.
He will need it in prison.

This is a false flag, to be used to take more freedoms. Amazing none of the bombs exploded! Just more snake oil folks

This simply looks like a political stunt in order to garner sympathy from their supports. They may blame a white, gun toting, bible thumping, home schooling, organic eating, precious metals hording, maga hat wearing Trump supporter.

But imo, I suspect this to be an inside (leftest) job.

Occam’s Razor – The simplest explanation is most often the correct one.

    Political stunt, i.e., false flag.

Everyone “targeted” is basically out of power and now has no real influence… so why choose them?

Should be interesting to see what else they come up with in the remaining 13 days.

Lot of information, speculation out there.
    Hopefully cooler heads will prevail.

Natty has it pegged. Not 1 of the bombs was a danger to anyone. All props, no explosives.

JM, I have very little doubt that they will come up with something, a mass shooting, “terrorist attack”, etc. It is my conviction that all of these things are false flags, facilitated, orchestrated, sometimes simply faked,as this one was rather obviously, and all calculated for effect. And they do have an effect, a kind of societal trauma-based mind control. Or at least narrative control. The saddest part of this is that the majority of Americans simply accept that narrative uncritically. I think it was Michael Creighton who said that the greatest problem facing us in the 21st century is the inability of people to distinguish between reality and illusion. I have to agree

“the inability of people to distinguish between reality and illusion” Great quote

I usually think of Plato’s “allegory of the cave”we believe what we see.

On a similar vien. If you only see what someone wants you to see, that will be your reality.

I saw the picture of the person that they suspect. It appears that he is a Trump supporter and was in trouble long before this. Of course he is innocent until prove guilty, however that will not be the narrative on MSM. It will be Trumps fault, the rights fault, the October surprise the Dem’s hope will push them over the top, but I think the majority of American people recognize this for what it is, we shall see.

What is the charge for mailing FAKE bombs? For $3 postage there could be no explosive. $3 bucks pays for the tube and decorations. Why aren’t the stamps canceled?

Here is another one. He was charged with mailing a threat to injure.

Can’t be that long in jail. Be worth a good payout to many.

I’m guessing the charge will be along the lines of “terroristic threatening” or something like that for the news people who received a fake bomb. For the members of Congress, it’s more serious under 18 U.S.C. § 115 – U.S. Code.

Whoever assaults, kidnaps, or murders, or attempts or conspires to kidnap or murder, or threatens to assault, kidnap, or murder, any person who formerly served as a person designated in paragraph (1), or a member of the immediate family of any person who formerly served as a person designated in paragraph (1), with intent to retaliate against such person on account of the performance of official duties during the term of service of such person, shall be punished as provided in subsection (b).

(b)(1)  The punishment for an assault in violation of this section is–

    (A)  a fine under this title;  and

    (B)(i)  if the assault consists of a simple assault, a term of imprisonment for not more than 1 year;

    (ii)  if the assault involved physical contact with the victim of that assault or the intent to commit another felony, a term of imprisonment for not more than 10 years;

(iii)  if the assault resulted in bodily injury, a term of imprisonment for not more than 20 years;  or

(iv)  if the assault resulted in serious bodily injury (as that term is defined in section 1365 of this title, and including any conduct that, if the conduct occurred in the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, would violate section 2241 or 2242 of this title) or a dangerous weapon was used during and in relation to the offense, a term of imprisonment for not more than 30 years.

    (2)  A kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, or conspiracy to kidnap in violation of this section shall be punished as provided in section 1201 of this title for the kidnapping or attempted kidnapping of, or a conspiracy to kidnap, a person described in section 1201(a)(5) of this title.

    (3)  A murder, attempted murder, or conspiracy to murder in violation of this section shall be punished as provided in sections 1111 , 1113 , and 1117 of this title.

    (4)  A threat made in violation of this section shall be punished by a fine under this title or imprisonment for a term of not more than 10 years, or both, except that imprisonment for a threatened assault shall not exceed 6 years.

Here’s the link for anyone who wants to read the rest of it.

Oh – if the Daily Mail is to be believed…

Sayoc is charged with five federal crimes, including interstate transportation of an explosive, illegal mailing of explosives, threats against a former president, threatening interstate communications, and assaulting current and former federal officers.

Sayoc will face the charges in federal court in Manhattan after an initial court appearance in Florida. Five of the improvised devices involved in the case were recovered in the Southern District of New York.

He faces up to 48 years in prison if convicted.

There is no way the explosive charges will stick. You would actually need explosives. One site claimed he used coffee creamer. Here is myth busters doing a creamer cannon. They used compressed air to make it work.

Creamer to air mixture is critical. I’d make a pvc creamer bomb if I still lived in the country. Bet it would not explode. If you mixed an oxidizer with it, it might work. I’m not an expert though. Still could not ship it for $3.
