We had a few cases of canned goods that were mistakenly left on our back porch and not taken into the house. They were out there for about 3 months, through the summer when we had a lot of days over 100 degrees.
I’ve searched the internet for safety guidelines about whether or not they’re safe to eat. Mostly all I found was 1. Don’t do this 2. It shortens the shelf life.
But nothing about how much shorter. Some were vegetables, some were meat. I’ll throw them out if they aren’t safe, but I just don’t know if I should.
