For those of us living the NE, coldmageddon is upon us!!!
Single digit lows for the next two nights, not including the wind chill.
Busting out the serious cold weather gear! Expedition wool socks, the N-3B parka, snow pants, long johns/base layer bottoms, wool balaclava, wool hat, and the boots!

I went out on my lunch hour and my breath was taken away by the bitter cold. Grabbed my Stormy Kromer hat from my car for later.

Better you guys than me! I hate cold weather more and more these days. Tomorrow it’s supposed to get down to 23. Which is code for “I’m not leaving the house!”

21 degrees forecast for the morning low tomorrow but the high will be 40. Not bad considering what the NE is getting. After Friday it begins to warm back into the 50s.

I am down South in the Philly area . When they were forecasting the coldest ThanksgivingI, I laughed as I had just come from Up-State NY and -10 morning. Here with temps of 20 feels balmy.

I think that the Wx forecasters have learned how to hype the forecasts with the pallor of doom as have the news media. After all, it is late November and the ‘official’ winter season is closing in. Guess what…. its cold!

Anonymous@Crowbar-my sister lives in Manchester, NH. I sent her a “Naner, naner, boo, boo” pic of DH and me eating our Thanksgiving meal outside here in East Texas where it was sunny and felt like 68 degrees today 🙂 Okay. I’ll stop now…

Well, we survived!
No frozen pipes. No dead plants. No ice on the dogs water bowl. Didnt even have to put the big heavy comforter on the bed. Kitchen was a little cool this morning as the small wood stove was down to coals, but it is going again.
