This article mentions ‘that which shall not be mentioned‘……”airborne”. TPTB don’t know or are not saying, thus far. We currently know that we pass this virus to others by means of …
By personal touching – no touching, hand shaking or hugs,…..elbow bump? REALLY? Just wave or nod warmly!!
By being in range of droplets sent thru air during sneezes/coughs – social distancing, masks/face shields
By touching a surface where those same droplets have landed…then touching own mouth, nose, eyes. How long after the droplets landed? MOST germs die fairly quickly. This one probably doesn’t cuz at one point TPTB were estimating up to 9 days – under optimum conditions for the virus. That’s their MAXIMUM estimate. In most conditions, it will be less time…hopefully.
“Airborne” has a bit of ‘slide’ when folks define it. Aerosol is what happens when a powerful toilet is flushed…..particles are expelled and are so tiny that they float in the air. [close the lid……don’t use public restrooms which DON’T have lids and DO have very powerful flush] It also happens when we sneeze/cough strongly….but they don’t classify that as strictly “airborne”. Depends on how long aerosol floats and how long viruses remain viable/alive in that state.
The diseases that have the highest contagion rate are usually airborne. Look up measles, TB, pertussis [whooping cough] for instance. Medical folks have special protocols for those diseases with good reason. The medical staff don’t want to catch any of them. They certainly don’t want them spreading to the general public.
The differences in the airborne definition lie in what each of those particular viruses do. Float in the air, viable for hours after the person has left the room? Some are sucked into other people’s lungs [TB ] even if the virus is laying on a table…still viable after a time period when a decent virus would have died already! Hmph. Pertussis is violent, persistent COUGHING. That’s a lot of spewing of virus at fairly high rates of speed/distance. Whether pertussis is airborne or not…in this case, the jury seems split. These are just examples of highly transmittable diseases.
All this is to say, that IF….IF COVID is airborne, it makes transmission a lot easier, obviously. It can travel thru air ventilation systems. Still has limits on how far/long it can float and stay alive. Each disease microbe is different. But….it would be worse, IF COVID is airborne. Maybe they know already?
Even if it isn’t airborne, COVID already is a royal pain in the keister due to the long period of being contagious without noticing symptoms. Asymtomatic. That was the factor that had me drawing in a sharp breath back in January. Conscientious folks who would never go about infecting others….may be doing so unknowingly. {sigh} Members of Congress, for instance…. And how many folks did they come in contact with before they knew someone they talked to/shook hands with….had COVID?
This is why I personally think we’re in for a rough ride….probably very rough. BUT MOST PEOPLE RECOVER. Even if it infects millions of people and 1% [that’s low ball] die…..as bad as that is, still MOST WILL RECOVER.
…I’m just not one of them in the ‘Most Likely To Recover’ category. So I’m hiding out in our rural mountains!
Old TIRED MtWoman ….and I am not a medical person so do your own research on any of my opinions stated here!!!

Well OldMtWoman, this report came out yesterday afternoon: Coronavirus Can Stay In Air For 30 Minutes, Travel Twice ‘Safe Distance’ According To Study
https://www.zerohedge.com/health/coronavirus-can-stay-air-30-minutes-travel-twice-safe-distance-according-studyBUT! It is a study coming out of China, and it has yet to be vetted/peer reviewed. So, while it is supposedly conducted by epidemiologists, I would await for external verification.
