My state is one that’s embracing it. Like everything else there’s good, bad and room for abuse.
For instance when you hand law enforcement or anyone else your phone does that mean you just gave them permission for everything else on the phone?
What I’m going to say to y’all is think. Think about what your doing and how your doing it. Don’t rely on “the law” to keep things right then get upset when it doesn’t because you’ve got to think it through.

Use a pattern to unlock your phone.
As I understand it, now they can use your biometic (finger print) to open your phone without a warrant.
They cannot force you to give up the pattern.

Anything you can think of that can be a threat?
Seems like you get hold of some of these phones you got it all

While she was walking the dog, my wife found a cell phone on the side of the road.
She brought it home and figured out the pattern on the 7th try (of 10).
Turns out the owner had her hand bag stolen from a local store. We guessed the theives tossed the phone out their car window.
She called the number with the most calls. That woman then contacted the woman who had her bag stolen.
It was a back up phone.
Funny thing, a week later, she found another phone near where she found the first.
It was the womans primary phone!
My wife took it to her, as it did have a lot of pics she wanted.

According to the Faq
What if my smart device is lost or stolen?
Your Florida Smart ID will not be accessible without your PIN or fingerprint. It can be remotely deactivated and wiped from your smart device almost instantly by notifying FLHSMV.
