I would like to challenge those here to do a random act of kindness for a stranger this Christmas season.
I was driving back with a load of feed and one partially slid off deck of truck. It was at night on out skirts of big city near me 500k people. It’s a dark road and some lady with two younget boys stoped to help me fix the issue. I could have done it aline but would have been alot more work and in this day and age most would not even consider stopping in dark place to help stranger expecially two large men in a dark industrial bypass near woods.
I am thankful.for the help and it has reminded me that I should try and help more and repay the kindness to others spreading it around. There is a big gift basket ready for my next trip into her area to drop off to say thanks, but I will be on look out for more opertunities to help a random stranger not just those I know in my community.
I challenge you all to do the same and post about it.

Well, it was not this year, but a few years ago, my wife’s car got stuck in the drive. There I am, huffing and puffing to push her out.
Some young man, driving by, saw our problem. He turned around, came back and helped me push her car out. I never met him before. I tried to offer him monetary compensation, but he refused. We shook hands, I thanked him profusely, and he went on his way.That stuck with me.
Last year, someone was pulled over on the side of the road. He had a flat tire and could not get the spare out from under his truck. I had my crappy mil-surplus field jacket on, dont care if it gets torn, dirty etc. So I crawled right under there and was able to pull it loose (the oversized wing nut was a bit rusty). 5 minutes later, he was on his way.
Now, as Namelus states, let us all find other ways of doing kind things for others.
@namelus, 2 thumbs up! -

Seems funny seeing this tonight. I was in BJ’s wholesale club today and this older lady was trying to get a box of cat litter on her cart. It was heavy and she dropped it. So I helped her get it on the cart. Turns out we knew each other. She was one of my patients from the doctors office I retired from. Small world.

Yesterday I went out to clear the drive. Just as I do my first pass, I see a SUV on the side of the road in front of the house.
I checked to see if he needed help. It appears the engine block torn loose from its mounts. Told him in about 15mins I would have one half of the drive clear if he thought he could get the SUV to the drive. The road is a very busy 2 lane county road. He said he did not want to risk it and AAA was on the way. By the time I finished with the drive, AAA arrived. -
