<div>Daisy said something recently in one of her emails about catching flak for being happy and enjoying life. I find that extremely sad. Preparedness isn’t just about fear and negative things.</div>
<div>Like most things it’s about balance. A portion of your time should go to it but it shouldn’t be all consuming. If all your doing is preparing to die in a catastrophe then what’s the point?</div>
<div>There are times you need to kick it in high gear such as pre elections, when your hear of a virus tearing through China in December of 2019, before wintermageddon or a hurricane.</div>
<div>There are times when it not only requires high gear but directional motivation such as buying ammo, mags and spare parts before politics spoils things.</div>
<div>It can’t just be all welding up hedgehogs and sacking away food.</div>
<div>I spend time with my grandkids, doing outdoor things, watching movies and all kinds of things that make me happy. Went to the Cowboy Hall of Fame and saw the Spiro exhibit recently.</div>
<div>Don’t forget to live while preparing to stay alive. </div> -

I dont see prepping as negative at all. More like prudent.
If you live in tornado or hurricane ally, prudent to prep for those events accordingly.
Unfortunately, many have the,
‘oh, that will never happen here!’
Mentality.
Sure, there are the once in a 100 years (or 500) events. One never knows when those will happen.
I know a few think in a post-SHTF event, “You wont have time to laugh! You will be busy all the time! It will be hard! And if you dont think that way, you are dead!”
Right. Sure. IF you say so. -

Yeah I’m sure it will be but show me one culture or one time in history where we completely stopped having sex for fun, or someone wasn’t painting/drawing, playing games, making music etc.

Fear means you are not prepared.
As for fun we laugh everyday at farm its hardworking but we all have a non pc sense of humor… you have to take as well as give… when in the shit would you rather be with people crying and whining or with ones who.make lite of it.
When death smiles at you all you can do is smile back. Most of us have been in far worse places and situations so far over here every day is a blessed easy one to some nightmares in the past so you always have a well.it not as bad when …. or remember so and so and what happened then.
