Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Thanks Daisy and Selco for putting this together. Not new to prepping. Brought up in challenging home so never knew what to expect and then traveled abroad and realized a lot about man’s nature. So I always try to avoid unstable situations and do as much to be reliant on myself. Family and close friends have laughed about my preparations but I think this lockdown and global panic has opened some of their eyes. First, i was able to provide some supplies to them that met their immediate needs. Now they are looking at their investments and the supply chain for food- the supermarkets have plenty but the produce and meat offerings are reduced. Tyson Foods CEO just mentioned how the supply chain is at risk. The President used executive power to keep the meat industry open. This bailout/stimulus package is equal to our GDP and there is talk of a another. Family is bringing the news to me and starting the conversation so I am glad some have opened their eyes. We can now work on this as a group locally. That has been my hardest struggle is being alone in this. LOL Selco’s first lesson- form a group! Lol. Ok got it. I hope to learn a lot through this forum, share ideas, opinions, experiences. As an American, I never have known true hunger, political chaos nor seen or experienced war/violence first hand. I hope and pray that I don’t in my life time but events are happening at a fast rate and I think either the occurrence of a greater pandemic, financial collapse, currency collapse, bio terrrorism, asysmetric warfare or war with a nation-state is increasing. The good thing about prepping is learning how to be productive and creative in so many ways. (wanted to end of a positive note).
