Finally, taking a bit of time to catch up on things today. My husband and I farm in north Iowa and we are in the midst of the crazy harvest season (corn and soybeans). I love learning from everyone and preparing in every way I can. I have a long ways to go in some areas and doing ok in others, just as I suspect is the case for many. Looking forward to the discussion and learning in this forum.

AnonymousWelcome! I lived in Iowa the majority of my life, graduating from Cedar Falls High School about a hundred years ago 🙂 My folks farmed north of Cedar Falls raising hogs for Kent Feeds and grew corn and soybeans, too.
The winters got to be too much for me and I left the Hawkeye State in 2008. Three of my four children still live there so I occasionally visit, but only in the non-snowing months.
You will really enjoy this forum! There is so much to learn and interesting stories to read.
