Hey everyone. Thank you for being here! I am fairly new to actively prepping but have been well aware of the necessity for years. I need to peruse the site, there is so much information here! I have been feeling as though much of what is on the internet, while good to know, is not particularly relevant to my situation. I decided that my situation is not unique and there has to be stuff out there, I just need to find it! I am hoping to get some guidance regarding prep possibilities for individuals who rent their homes, are on a budget, and have multiple pets. Who plan to stay put when the shtf and who will be solo. My biggest concern is civil unrest and security. I have given this much thought and have come up short. I look forward to exploring the site and learning as much as I can. Thank you!!

Hello, I’m interested in seeing what you come up with that’s ideal for your situation.

I believe the number one thing you should do is build a network with people in different locations, so you have options for tactling differing scenerios, some of which may not allow to stay at your home base.

Welcome to the forum and I’m anewbie here as well.

Hello, welcome. I agree with MineYourMind that you need to build a network with others in different locations but still close enough to get to in case of a civicivil unrest situation, etc. You may not safe where you are alone. Until you do, or if you choose go it alone, I would suggest making a hiding space in your home. I am sort of in the same situation, looking for others to group with in an emergency situation. It is hard to imiagine having to defend your place, stuff, and life all alone.  You have to sleep.

Hello, and back at you from Va. as well.  There are five or six here from Va. that I know about.  It would be good if we could network and communicate regarding issues within the state that might affect us.
