Hey, if Warren or Sanders get elected, I might consider it.

I hear ya , but if either did get elected , the nation would collapse in less than two years . Then the right could restore America ………….through force of arms if needed . Think mass deportations , and dissolving of the Democratic party

    Gentlemen and Ladies,

For a moment, think about the “great reset” that so many foam at the mouth over.

1: What makes you think that “your” side will be victorious?

2: Look at history and false prophets. Or in this case false conservatives.

3: The “right wing” is no better than the “Left wing” when you are being beaten by its true believers over something that you said/did.

Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

Look at our first revolution , and to a lesser extent , the civil war ( because they had conscription ) . Only about 3% of the population actively participated in the hostilities . The others may have had an opinion , but wouldnt act on it , one way or the other . The civil war most likely would have been the same , if not for conscription . Other countries have had similar numbers . It seems its mostly the extremists in any given situation . That being said , every group , more often than not , has its counter . Wars fought on emotion hardly ever succeed , the left is all about emotion . thats all they have when it gets down to it . Riots are emotion based . Ever wonder why the cops DONT do mass arrests , but rather give ground , and set up a no pass line ? Because they know that emotion itself burns out rather quickly . Generally the longer riots last , the smaller the groups get , its hard to maintain emotions to that degree , its exhausting . Any fighting the left provokes with guns , will be crushed , Its the right that has the majority of firearms in America , its also the right that is generally responsible with them . Its also the right that does most of the tactical training , and most of the nations militias are right . The military is more on the side of the right than not .That is important . More veterans are Trump supporters than the general population who never served , that is a key factor also . The cops will be all over the map . The Alphabet soups have decided they will serve the state , long ago . How things are done will be critical , and will determine reaction . Emotion based actions , are not thought through , and fail , more often than not . WB is correct , anything could happen .

Yeah. I remember all these same arguments and threats to leave the nation, start a civil war, generally act up badly, if Obama got elected. Or elected to a second term.

    Big ass nothingburger.

    @Mouse,
    What do you mean?
Obama did get elected, the ACA got passed, health care costs skyrocketed, people started leaving for places where their dollar went further.

The woman in the OP moved to Portugal in 2012.

Yeah all these fleeing people are still relying on usa denominated currncy and investment… foolish. Once usa crashes they will have nothing to support thier life overseas.

Thimk well its a pension plan a roth ira or 401k… yeah all dependant on usa and dollar value…. what are you going to live on when it goes Zimbabwe in a forgein country that has minimun income requirements to stay as a retiree?

Trumps deal with china they win returning dollar for useful things before it tanks and is worth zero. After all officially own 1.1 triĺion… would guess more once shadow investments are tallied.

As for left winning.. ok they do and implement all the stupid they think will bring utopia…. we all know it wont work just wind up another hell and another civil war. Look at all the dictator ships only ones that do well are free market ones with top down control ie china veitnam. Russia Venezuela Zimbabwe all implode and have to be reorganized.

Right now a cancer on our society are the “woke” libtards running on feelings changing world to equal outcome not equality of chance and yo hell with rule of law. It dose not work there will always be poor and rich it is way of things you just need to manage it better and there was balance at one point near the inception of the usa. This is the result of a million comprimises and such the tree of liberty will be refreshed by blood of tyrants and patriots.

@ Crow Bar: Yeah, but no mass emigration. No Civil War. No race war. Lots of forum-based grumping and threats just like now.

Like no mass exodus to Canada upon Trump’s 2016 win.
People, of all stripes, tend to talk big, but when the time comes, we are generally risk averse creatures.

Namelus does have a good point , they better hope that electronic banking lasts . If they become a financial burden to the country they go to , they will be deported , to start over with nothing .
