Hello I need advice on what one would look for a Never Coming Home bag, not just a BOB for it would have to be far more durable, reliable and spacious. Any info would be very appreciated because I am going mad over the choices out there. I keep getting tempted by the Vanquest stuff over by Canadian Prepareness but perhaps you guys know better, looking around the 200-300 dollar range but this is not etched in stone.
I’ve got a USGI woodland ruck with molle add on pouches similar to this
I can’t really hep you with brands because I just don’t know. I like this setup because it grows and shrinks as needed with those outer pouches and the internal frame was extremely comfortable.
If possible try it on first. I know that’s kinda hard these days.
I dont see a difference between the two (BOB vs INCH) other than what is packed out.
I have two Snugpak Rocket packs, but it appears they quit making them. Dang shame, they were a bargin, well designed. I like that they keep the center of gravity low. I have seen some packs that are nothing more than tacti-cool backpacks for camping. Usually they go vertical and I find I feel top heavy.
Otherwise, I would probably get a old USGI ruck(ALICE) or similar pack.
