fact that China moved quarantine area to include 21million more within 100km of Shanghai. This will be your test if 100 miles is enough. I think it is too little too late. Those hospitals with 2000 beds already double the size and over flowing. There are pictures out there of on temp hospital think 3 football fields plus in size and growing.

US just instituted quarantine of traveller citizen from.infected area and not allowing any Wuhan Chinese into usa. Russia kicked out all Chinese that have been there less than 14 days and closed border for people.

Mine right now is no unessisary trips leaving compound. Kids are home schooled, the other members if incoming have to stay at isolation house.
When we go it’s masks and gloves disposed of after clothing is washed and mask into shower off then new clothesite the other stuff is bagged and wait till full bag then done in town laundry if things don’t get worse if it does they get burned.
Our pork goes to a distribution point and gets picked up that way. For delivery customers we have asked for them to order more and store or get ready to pick up at distribution point.
If any worse level 3 everyoNE who wants to actually stay here has to be here within 24 hours then gates closed . The non live on farm people have 28 days in quarentine. Will start storing all pork in freezer system and allow once a week pick up of products by distribution place far from farm at a predone.
If really bad we have storage on site for 6 months of product. If it longer than that… don’t think today’s rules will apply to any further transaction.

While I can and have gone 2 weeks without leaving the house or seeing someone else other than my wife, I think it is too soon for self-isolation.
We start seeing more and more clusters in the smaller to mid sized cities and towns, then it might be warranted.

I agree. We’re at level 3 (of 5) biological, so basic social distancing like avoiding elevators, crowds, Vitamin C loading, use of alcohol gels, no restaurants / fast food is where we’re at. And of course monitoring the situation. Our group has connections at the area hospital and state agencies, so will get news before it hits the paper. Now prepping PEP EDC kits in case we move to level 2.

I forgot to mention that we’re also moving from level 4 to level 3 financial due to nCoV and its impact on China. Charles Hugh Smith has a good article on this. That means (for us) expenditure minimization and sacrificing interest in favor of cash held outside of the bank. Local financial institutions mean we can pay mortgages and such in cash if we wind up in that strange state where internet payments don’t work but financial institutions are still open and RoL is still in effect. Gold and silver stocks were always done with dollar cost averaging, so no change there.
