* Interesting thing: My first response was anger. Anger at the politicians, anger at airport management, anger at the NY Health Dept. Then my rational brain kicked in. It’s scary how powerful our irrational brains are. Gotta watch for that in each of us. It’s like playing chess: A situation looks really juicy and tempting, but then you look over the entire board and it’s really doom on a cracker.
Screener at airport, “Hey! You look sick! You sneezed! Off to quarantine for you!”
Traveler, “I have allergies.”
Screener, “Do you have a doctors note to back that up?”
