What on earth? The WHO actually declared red meat as “probably causes cancer” …what. I am just completely baffled. That would be like saying water probably causes cancer because you need water to stay alive and you can only develop cancer if you are alive.

What both articles need to clarify is it is highly processed foods, meats, that can cause cancer.
The way we pollute our waters, I would not doubt if the WHO said water causes cancer.
Right now, you can get a good dose of anti-depressants off of some municipal sources. -
I would characterize that article as a ‘pant load’.
Granted, daily consumption of processed ANYTHING is likely not healthy for us, including the regular consumption of cured meats.
Eat organic. Eat local.
