I’ve carried concealed for a long time… legally, of course. Even back before permits were easy to obtain in the “Shall issue” states. I’ve carried many different handguns, too, both revolvers and (mostly) autos in several different brands.
If you carry concealed and have been for a while, bets are you have a holster drawer like I do. We seem to always be seeking that perfect holster that gives security, concealibility, and COMFORT.
I probably have twenty holsters – leather, kydex, and nylon – in my drawer, collected over the years as something more exciting that promises more comes along and takes more of my money. I’ve used some really good holsters, but I have never found the perfect holster. There is always trade offs between the three virtues I mentioned – security, concealibility, and comfort.
Currently I use two depending on which weapon is going along, and where I’m going and how I’ll be dressed determines which one goes – a Ruger LCP in .380 or a Glock 43 in 9mm. Its a Smart Carry for the Ruger and a Vedder Light Tuck IWBA for the Glock. But sooner or later I’ll see that add for the next ‘perfect’ holster!

Only a drawer?
Thanks to gun shows and ebay, I’m down to two boxes.
Happily, I stopped looking for others.

I have a few. Would not mind having a few more. But the ones I have do the job just fine.
I have other things I can or need to spend the cash on.

I’ve changed carry pistols a time or two over the years which always means another new holster. The previous weapon finds itself in the safe and another holster into the drawer.
